Doesn't This Terrify You?

 I found this chart in this searing article on Dr. John Rusin's website about American health, food, fitness, and Big Pharma. He's an excellent resource when it comes to health, fitness, and training.

What's crazy is all of this is entirely preventable...

People simply can't see the truth. Or they don't know how to change their lifestyles on a fundamental level. Or it's too uncomfortable to do so. Or they simply don't care.

Obesity & the health complications that come with it are entirely preventable.

It simply takes a choice.

A decision.

To do this, not that.

To eat this, not that.

To drink this, not that.

You combat obesity with tons of tiny decisions. Step by step. Day by day.

You don't try to solve a (sometimes) lifelong problem in one day.

You consistently attack that problem from all angles.

You come at it with a plan. And then you implement that plan.

Day by day...

There's a reason I always preach CONSISTENCY.

I didn't build the physique & health I've got in one day.

It took years of consistent application & discovery of new information.

And that's why it's hard for people to stay consistent.

You have to be INVESTED in the PROCESS. Not the results.

The results will come.

And if you TRACK your results, with numbers and pictures, you'll SEE the results rather than assuming they're not there.

The numbers in that chart are crazy to me.

People in this country would only need to make three decisions throughout the day & they would be orders of magnitude healthier than they are now:

  • Go for a 30-60 minute walk.
  • Eat a high protein diet.
  • Don't eat or drink anything with sugar.

If you want to be cut & dry, it really is that simple. Now, there's of course more details & nuance to each of those. There are ways to optimize & more efficient methods, but at the core, those are it.

GET UP & MOVE AROUND. PUT THE RIGHT STUFF IN YOUR BODY. DON'T PUT THE WRONG STUFF IN YOUR BODY.

Boom.

Now you're more healthy... a year from now.

The time is going to pass anyway. So why not make yourself better in the process?

It all comes down to consistently making those correct, small decisions. Over and over. Until your VISION becomes REALITY.
